The Fault Cause Analysis Of Hydraulic Crane

1.Lack of daily maintenance of hydraulic oil:Every time before arriving at the port or using it, the bottom of the oil tank is not drained, the filter is not cleaned for a long time, and the filter element is not replaced regularly, causing the pressure difference before and after the filter to be too large and in a bypass state for a long time, so that the hydraulic oil cannot be obtained. The proper filtration, the solid particle contaminants in the hydraulic oil greatly exceed the minimum use requirements of the hydraulic crane, causing serious wear and tear of the moving parts in the hydraulic motor, hydraulic pump and the jamming of the hydraulic control valve and other failures.  

     

2. Improper use of hydraulic oil :Hydraulic oil is not replaced as required for a long time; new and old hydraulic oil are mixed; necessary filtration is not performed when refueling, causing a large amount of contaminants to mix in; the system is not cleaned when the system is disassembled, and the hydraulic oil is also polluted; the oil tank vent filter is not obtained. The maintenance, serious damage, and a large amount of contaminants enter the system.    

   

3. Lack of maintenance of the water seal system of the hydraulic crane :The wind and waves, rainwater erode the hydraulic equipment and mix into the hydraulic oil, accelerating the emulsification and deterioration of the hydraulic oil. In addition, the condensate produced by the water vapor in the air in the oil tank due to the temperature difference between day and night is also an important factor causing excessive water content in the oil of the hydraulic crane.      

 

4. Other reasons        

(1) After the hydraulic system has a wear-type failure and overhaul, the system and oil tank are not flushed as necessary, causing the same type of failure to occur repeatedly on the same crane.        

(2) Lack of maintenance of the hydraulic pipeline. When the oil pipe and pipe joint show signs of failure, they cannot be repaired in time, causing the pipeline to burst, the pipe joint to be washed away, and a large amount of hydraulic oil leakage and environmental pollution.        

(3) Lack of maintenance of the hydraulic system of the crane. When the hydraulic system works in an uncoordinated manner, it cannot be adjusted in time, causing the hydraulic system to have severe impact and vibration, and work with illness until it is damaged. 

(4) Seals and accumulator bladders are not replaced in time due to aging, springs fail, etc., lack of regular maintenance of equipment, resulting in a high failure rate of wearing parts.        

(5) Management and maintenance personnel lack the necessary professional knowledge, fault diagnosis ability and maintenance skills. When the hydraulic crane fails, blindly repair, turn simple faults into complex faults, and cause secondary faults, which not only waste manpower and maintenance costs, but also miss the ship schedule.
